Mary, a patient at Stroger Hospital

“My name is Mary. In 2005 I lost my health insurance, but kept my job. In 2009, I developed a heart condition. My doctor told me, ‘Mary, you have to go to Stroger Hospital.’ For the past two years, I feel well taken care of at Stroger Hospital.”

Thomas, a patient at Stroger Hospital, with Dr. Ukoha

“My name is Thomas. When I was told I had lung cancer, I thought my life was over. I was referred to a surgeon at Stroger Hospital, and he answered all my questions very well. I put all my trust in him.

My doctors at Stroger Hospital are very skillful and they care about me. Now I see them as friends.”
